COVID UPDATE: As of March 9, 2021, most regions in Quebec (with the exception of Montreal and its surrounding regions) are now orange zone, with a 9:30pm – 5am curfew. Restaurants will now be open for dine-in (with restrictions), as well as gyms, museums, shops, and salons. Bars remain closed. Travel to Quebec at this time is not advisable. In the meantime, I hope you will utilize this site for travel inspiration and future travel planning!
Finding kid-friendly hotels in Quebec City is not too difficult, after all, hundreds of kids visit the city every year from Canada and the United States for class trips. Travelling as a family is a tad different, especially if you have younger children (or ones who are not overly keen on history!).
Whether you have picky eaters and need to be close to restaurants with chicken fingers and burgers, or you want a place to escape to when the city is too hot or busy, we have a hotel suggestion for you.
Here are our picks for the best kid-friendly hotels in Quebec City!
Okay, Village Vacances Valcartier is not technically in Quebec City, but it is by far the BEST kid-friendly hotel! Located about 20 minutes outside the city, Valcartier is a family resort with a huge indoor waterpark, Bora Bora, restaurants, and outdoor activities.
On a warm summer day, enjoy the outdoor waterpark. In winter, the area is turned into tubbing runs (riding down snowy hills on inner tubes), and Hôtel de Glace (Ice Hotel) is built nearby.
There are plenty of dining options, so if you have picky eaters, you should be fine.
